New sponsor for Premier Darts League

The Premier Darts league has a new sponsor Roger Boysen designer of the brilliant darts software “darts for windows”. Roger has agreed to double the first place prize money in Division 1 making the first prize a staggering £300.00. The League would like to thank Roger for his valuable contribution and look forward to working with the “darts for windows” software for many seasons in the future.

Rules 1^st edition

Individual format.

1. Players will play each other twice. Ie 2 rounds.

2. Round 1. Best of 5 legs x 501 straight start / double / bull finish( first half of season).

3. Round 2. Best of 5 legs x 501 double / bull start and finish (second half of season).

4. Bust back rule applies.

5. Oche will be set at 7ft 9 1/4 inches.

6. Players that are drawn on the left hand side of column have the off in the first, third & fifth legs. Those players with the off will also call the following game on that board.(there is no bull up or coin toss).

7. 2 points will be awarded for a win.(A win is first person to reach 3 legs)

8. Players will toe the oche at 8.00pm sharp or unless instructed otherwise.

9. Any player failing to turn up for any game without prior notice will be deducted 2 points.

Blind Doubles format

1. Players will play in 1 round of blind doubles each night.

2. Players will be drawn randomly each night.

3. Players will bull up once for the off. (winners will have the off in 1^st & 3^rd legs).

4. Best of 3 legs x 701 double / bull finish.

5. 2 points will be awarded to each of the winning players.

6. 1 of the losing players will call the following game.

Bonus points

1. 1 point will be awarded for highest checkout on each night.

2. 1 point will be awarded for highest single dart average in any 1 game on each night.

3. 1 point will be awarded for the fastest finish each night.

4. Where any of the above are tied those players will be awarded a point each.

How it works

1. Players will play 2 individual games and 1 blind pairs game each night.

2. All points from both individual and pairs games will be added together along with any bonus points and this will form the league table.

3. The player with the most points at the end of the season will be the winner.

4. If any positions are tied on points the player with the greater leg difference will fill the upper position if this is also tied the player with the most bonus points will be awarded the position. If a dead heat is called a best of 5 x 501 knock out will decide the position.

5. There will be trophies awarded for the top 3 positions and prize money will be payed down to the top 8 positions.

6. Entry fee will be £5.00 each night.

7. All games will be played at The Coachman on Monday nights.

Players will gain entry only on merit on current and past league positions.

The league will be made up off 12 invited players and 2 qualifiers from the play offs which are open only to current Premier League Players.
